Terms of Service
Effective date: May 1, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the GreenKeep mobile application (“GreenKeep” or the “App”), provided by The Echo Current LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account, downloading, or using GreenKeep, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, do not use GreenKeep.

1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EU/UK) to use GreenKeep. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
You agree to provide accurate information when you create an account and to keep that information current.
2. Your account
You can create a GreenKeep account using:
- Sign in with Apple — passwordless authentication via your Apple ID, OR
- Email magic link — passwordless authentication via a link we email you.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. We are not liable for losses caused by unauthorized access to your account if you’ve failed to maintain reasonable security on your devices and email.
You may delete your account at any time from inside the App (Profile → Delete account). See our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data on deletion.
3. License to use GreenKeep
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use GreenKeep on iOS devices you own or control, for personal (non-commercial) use.
This license does not include the right to:
- Modify, decompile, or reverse-engineer the App
- Distribute, sublicense, or rent the App to anyone else
- Use the App to develop a competing product
- Remove proprietary notices or branding
4. The service GreenKeep provides
GreenKeep estimates the timing of lawn care tasks (pre-emergent, fertilizer, overseed, aerate, etc.) based on:
- The 2-inch soil temperature for your zip code, fetched from public weather data sources
- The local 7-day forecast
- Agronomic thresholds we maintain for major US grass types
Important disclaimer: GreenKeep provides informational guidance, not professional advice. Soil temperature and forecast data are estimates based on third-party data, not direct measurements of your specific yard. Microclimate factors (sun exposure, recent watering, slope, soil composition) can cause real conditions to differ. We are not responsible for outcomes from following any timing recommendation — including but not limited to dead grass, ineffective applications, regulatory or HOA issues, or wasted product cost.
You are solely responsible for verifying that any product you apply (herbicide, fertilizer, etc.) is legal in your jurisdiction, applied at the correct rate per the product label, and used in accordance with applicable safety guidance.
5. Subscriptions
GreenKeep is a paid app — using it requires an active subscription. New users get a 7-day free trial to evaluate the App before being charged.
5.1 Plans and pricing

Prices may vary by region. The current price for your region is displayed on the subscription screen in the App before you subscribe.
5.2 Free trial
New subscribers are eligible for a 7-day free trial on either plan. The trial begins when you tap “Start free 7-day trial” and you are not charged during the trial period. Eligibility for the free trial is determined by Apple based on your Apple ID’s prior subscription history.
5.3 Auto-renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the price listed above (or the current price for your region) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
5.4 Cancellation
You can cancel at any time from your Apple ID’s subscription management screen:
- iOS Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → GreenKeep → Cancel Subscription
- Or in the App: Profile → Manage subscription
Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access through the end of your current billing period. Cancelling during a free trial ends the trial immediately and does not result in a charge. After your access ends, you can re-subscribe at any time.
5.5 Refunds
All subscription purchases are processed by Apple under Apple’s standard refund policy. We do not directly issue refunds. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
5.6 Changes to plans or pricing
We may add, change, or remove subscription plans, including pricing. Existing subscribers will continue at their grandfathered price for the duration of their current billing period. We will notify you of price changes for renewal at least 30 days in advance.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use GreenKeep for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ accounts or our systems
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise extract data from the App outside its intended use
- Submit false or misleading information about your account, lawn, or garden
- Use the App to harass, threaten, or harm others
- Circumvent any technical restrictions, including subscription enforcement
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
7. Intellectual property
GreenKeep, including all software, designs, content, branding, and trademarks, is the property of The Echo Current LLC or its licensors. We retain all rights not expressly granted to you in these Terms.
You retain ownership of the content you input (zip, grass type, garden bed names, notes, etc.). By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content as needed to provide the service.
8. Third-party services
GreenKeep relies on third-party services (Apple, Supabase, RevenueCat, Open-Meteo, and others — see our Privacy Policy for the full list). Their availability and behavior is outside our control. If a third-party service fails or changes its terms, we may need to update the App accordingly.
9. Disclaimers
GREENKEEP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING:
- WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT
- WARRANTIES THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR ACCURATE
- WARRANTIES REGARDING THE OUTCOMES OF FOLLOWING ANY RECOMMENDATION IN THE APP
Soil temperature and weather data are estimates from third-party sources, not measurements of your specific yard. Lawn task timing is based on agronomic thresholds that may not apply to your specific microclimate, soil type, or grass cultivar.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL THE ECHO CURRENT LLC, ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR:
- INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES
- DAMAGES RELATED TO LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION
- DAMAGES TO YOUR LAWN, GARDEN, PROPERTY, OR HEALTH RESULTING FROM FOLLOWING ANY APP RECOMMENDATION
- ANY DAMAGES EXCEEDING THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU’VE PAID US IN THE PRECEDING 12 MONTHS, OR $50 USD, WHICHEVER IS GREATER
Some jurisdictions don’t allow exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability for incidental damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Echo Current LLC, its owners, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from:
- Your use of GreenKeep
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third party’s rights
- Any application of products you make based on the App’s recommendations
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to GreenKeep at any time, with or without notice, if:
- You violate these Terms
- We discontinue the App
- We are required to do so by law
You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it (see section 2). Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including 7 (Intellectual Property), 9 (Disclaimers), 10 (Limitation of Liability), 11 (Indemnification), and 13 (Governing Law) — will survive.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of GreenKeep will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Dutchess County, New York. You and we consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of those courts.
If you reside outside the United States, you may have additional rights under your local law that override this section.
14. Apple-specific terms
If you downloaded GreenKeep from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply:
- These Terms are between you and The Echo Current LLC, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the App.
- In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). Apple has no other warranty obligation.
- We (not Apple) are responsible for addressing any product liability claims, claims of intellectual property infringement, or other consumer-protection claims regarding the App.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Upon your acceptance, Apple has the right (and is deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top reflects the latest version. Material changes will be announced in the App or by email if you’ve shared one with us. Continuing to use GreenKeep after a change constitutes acceptance.
If you don’t agree to a revised version, you must stop using GreenKeep and may delete your account.
16. Severability and entire agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. These Terms (together with our Privacy Policy) constitute the entire agreement between you and The Echo Current LLC regarding GreenKeep.
